Foliage turns a stunning dark orange/red in fall. Dark purple berries appear in abundance and are a striking contrast to the fall foliage. The fruit is astringent and tastes similar to a chokecherry. The fruit is not suitable for fresh eating but is great for making jams and jellies while attracting wildlife to your yard.
