Description: Originally located in Indian Head, SK, the Sundancer Poplar is proving to be a very hardy, moderate growth, long-lived tree. A great alternative to the Swedish Columnar Aspen. It’s the #1 disease resistant poplar on the prairies. With a fibrous root system and columnar growing habit have no fear planting this Poplar in a smaller yard, near the house!
Ornamental Features:Â Sundancer is a fast growing, tall, columnar male tree with upward growing branches. The original tree located at the Agroforestry Development Centre in Indian Head, Saskatchewan has grown to a height of 21m at 32 years with a crown width of 3.5m. Green leaves flush in late April to early May turning yellow in the fall.
