Description: This tree is a special selection of Colorado spruce that has been chosen for its outstanding blue needle colour. Despite its smaller stature, it has a strongly pyramidal shape and dramatic blue foliage. We can emphatically say that this tree has the bluest needles of any of the blue spruce we have grown!
Ornamental Features: The needles emerge silvery blue in the spring and remain intensely blue colored throughout the year, creating a beautiful contrast against the snow in the winter and green deciduous foliage during the summer. These features make this tree an excellent ornamental choice, especially for smaller landscapes.
Landscape Attributes: This is a dense evergreen with a strong central leader and a refined pyramidal form that make this tree a superb choice for a unique color and form that won’t overwhelm the space. Further, it is drought tolerant and deer resistant once established, making this tree an undoubtedly low-maintenance option.
