Description:Â An extremely hardy and rugged evergreen tree. With the classic ‘Christmas tree’ silhouette, the Norway spruce is a majestic beauty in any season. A large pyramidal conifer that is very tolerant of cold weather conditions.
Ornamental Features: New needles emerges light green in spring. More openly branched than other spruce species, the branches sweep out and away from the trunk, resulting in a distinctive weeping habit. Long, colorful cones in spring mature to a scaly medium brown.
Landscape Attributes:Â Exceptionally hardy evergreen tree with upward sweeping branches. Easy care/low maintenance, wildlife and winter burn resistant. Makes a superb windbreak, sound barrier, or privacy screening for larger properties. Provides an important habitat for wildlife.
