Description: A hardy low spreading shrub with small yellow flowers, showy velvety red berries, and dense glossy green foliage. Perfect for borders or as a groundcover.
Ornamental Features: Small yellow blooms in late spring are followed by showy clusters of velvety red berries from late summer to late fall. Aromatic glossy green foliage throughout the season turns orange, red and purple in the fall.
Landscape Attributes: Dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a low spreading, ground-hugging habit of growth. Low maintenance; best pruned in winter. While this shrub is drought tolerant once established, it will benefit from regular watering during its first years of growth. Water in deeply but infrequently as it does not like soggy soil!
