Description: ‘Pure Joy’ is simply a delight to have in the garden. The compact growth, standing 12 inches tall, allow this sun-loving sedum to be a great front row or boarder plant. ‘Pure Joy’ goes through different growth phases as the season goes on. In the spring, tiny serrated blue leaves appear, creating a tightly formed mound. As the season progresses, the leaves get larger and turn a lighter green, and the plant starts to form an upright mound. In the late summer, ‘Pure Joy’ Sedum produces beautiful light pink ‘heads’ that cover the entire plant with star-shaped flowers. As the season turns to fall, you will notice the light pink color starts to darken as the seed heads turn deep pink. This popular, hardy and drought tolerant perennial adds a burst of color to your fall landscape. ‘Pure Joy’ will add interest into the winter if left standing, since the seed heads will provide food for the birds.
