Description: One of the hardiest red maple cultivars available! Small red flowers appear in spring, often before the leaves emerge. Leaf shape is the classic lobed maple leaf, which is a deep green until late summer, when the foliage turns a brilliant red.
Ornamental Features: Classic maple leaf foliage is contrasted nicely against the silvery gray bark. Excellent shade or feature tree. The show begins in late August as the leaves begin to turn to brilliant shades of red and orange. Simply stunning!
Landscape Features: Low maintenance, prune in summer as needed after leaves are fully developed. Makes an excellent shade or boulevard tree. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, but prefers moist, slightly acidic soils.
