Description: Forms a tall, shrub-like perennial clump with prolific sprays of creamy white flowers over a long bloom period. The flower spikes are similar in appearance to those of Astilbe or Aruncus, but longer lasting and better able to tolerate sunny conditions. Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Landscape Attributes: A well-behaved, non-spreading species that can become quite large and showy at its mature size. Provides a long season of gorgeous, airy blooms that provide height and texture in the garden. Deer resistant, virtually pest-free, and low maintenance. Makes an excellent plant for the back border or as a flowering hedge.
