Description: Our selection of this pioneer spruce has been used in the prairies since the early 1900’s and is native to the Rockies. Its distinctive and refined pyramidal form, and color, make this a landscape favorite. They tolerate a wide range of well-drained soils, but not standing water.
Ornamental Features:Â Attractive blue foliage which emerges silvery blue in spring. The needles remain blue through the winter. Rough gray bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape.
Landscape Attributes: Dense evergreen tree with a strong central leader. Distinctive and refined pyramidal form. Extremely hardy and rugged.
