Description: ‘Cloudy’ monkshood is a cultivar with hooded, violet blue and white bicolour flowers in dense terminal racemes up to 8” long, atop rigid, leafy stems typically growing 2-4’ tall.
Ornamental Features: Monkshood features unique and eye-catching bicoloured flowers complemented by deep green, lacy foliage adding texture to borders. Pollinators love this plant and visit it frequently!
Landscape Features: Monkshood prefers rich, moist soil, performing best in cool-summer areas. This plant is easily divided in spring or fall and grows best in partial shade in warmer regions. You may need to stake the stems at some point. CAUTION: Monkshood is toxic if ingested, and harmful to skin. Gloves should be worn when handling.
