Description: Also known as Haskap berries, this honeyberry cultivar is an extremely cold hardy shrub with a dense upright habit. Light yellow flowers appear in spring alongside green foliage. Large, dusty-blue, elongated fruit develops in summer. An excellent choice for your garden orchard.
Ornamental Features: Narrow green foliage throughout the season. Delicate light yellow flowers in early spring mature to large sweet berries ready for picking in early summer. Great for eating fresh or making preserves. The taste of the berries is described as a blueberry/raspberry mix.
Landscape Attributes: Very hardy and dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a dense, upright habit of growth. Another variety with a compatible flowering season is required to set fruit. We recommend the cultivar ‘Honey Bee’ Occasional maintenance and best pruned in late winter. Urban pollution tolerant.
