Description:
The Jostaberry is a vigorous, thornless hybrid fruit shrub resulting from a cross between black currant and gooseberry. It combines the best traits of both—producing glossy, dark purple-black berries about the size of a small grape, with a sweet-tart flavor that’s excellent for fresh eating, jams, pies, and preserves. The bush is upright, disease-resistant, and self-fertile, requiring no cross-pollinator. Tolerant of various soils and climates, Jostaberries are a great addition to edible landscapes, fruit gardens, or mixed borders.
