Description: This peony variety is a Winner of both the American Peony Society Gold Medal and the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit. And it is easy to see why! The charming blooms are up to 6″ in diameter and open to a snowy white from contrasting soft pink buds. The slightly recurved petals form a large cup packed with golden yellow stamens sprinkled with tiny white central petals. Looking almost like an anemone, the intoxicating scent is impossible to mistake for anything other than a peony. Makes exceptional cut flower bouquets.
Landscape Attributes: Peonies are a relatively low maintenance plant, and are virtually pest-free. Cut them back in the late fall in preparation for winter. This variety has a slightly smaller stature than typical cultivars, with very strong stems that generally do not require staking.
