Description: If you are looking for the bluest of the blue spruce, look no further than the Hoopsii! This tree is a selection of Colorado spruce with long, gorgeous powder blue needles. Considered by many to be the bluest spruce available, they provide a spire-like accent in the yard. They tolerate a wide range of well-drained soils, but not standing water.
Ornamental Features: Stunning, intensely blue foliage emerges silvery blue in spring, and provides a beautiful contrast against the snow in winter. The rough gray bark adds an interesting texture to the landscape.
Landscape Attributes: A dense evergreen tree with a strong central leader and elongated, spire-like growth habit. This tree provides a bold color statement with an elegant, almost columar form. A perfect choice for smaller lots that contrasts well with deciduous trees and shrubs.
