Description
Description: This award winning Hosta makes a great statement in the shade garden. ‘Guacamole’ forms a mound of lightly corrugated, slightly convex, overlapping chartreuse leaves with irregular, dark green margins. White, tubular blooms with a hint of palest lilac appear in early to midsummer, rising on spikes held above the foliage.
Ornamental Features: Medium sized, oval leaves emerge chartreuse in spring, bordered by a thin, dark green margin. The attractive limey green retains its brightness throughout the season, and looks spectacular paired with textured, dark foliage. The almost white, bell-like flowers are attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators, and are lightly fragrant.
Landscape Features: Perfect for the shade garden, mixed with other perennials in bed and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens or containers. Great as a groundcover or underplanting for shrubs and roses. Very hardy and long lived perennial.
