Zone: 3-9
Exposure: Full Sun
Mature Size: 36-48″H x 12-18″W
Flower Colour: Yellow and orange
Flowering Time: Midsummer to Mid fall
Growth Rate: Medium
Description: This selection forms an upright clump of stiff purple stems, with rough-textured, toothed, dark purple leaves bearing branching heads of large yellow daisy-like flowers with a dark orange centre.
Ornamental Features: The purple bronze foliage is outstanding on its own, but the bright, bi-colour blooms further complement the rich colour. Excellent massed in the back border, and False Sunflowers are reliable for their very long season of bloom. Make cheerful additions to summer and fall bouquets.
Landscape Features: Removing faded flowers regularly will greatly extend the blooming season. Should not require staking. Plants may be divided in early spring. Flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies.
