Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, ‘Orange Marmalade’ features lightly corrugated, long and unique colour changing leaves. Tubular pale lavender blooms appear in summer, rising on spikes up to two feet high.
Ornamental Features: Large, teardrop-shaped leaves emerge a blue-green in spring, bordered by a thin, bright green margin. When the heat of summer hits, the leaf centres become an orangey gold before fading to a creamy ivory. The lush, almost tropical-looking foliage is complemented by the lavender bell-like flowers that are visited by pollinators and hummingbirds.
Landscape Features: Perfect for adding unique colour to the shade garden. Looks great mixed with dark-foliaged perennials in beds and borders or cottage gardens. Excellent as a groundcover or underplanting shrubs and roses.
